About the role
We are seeking a visionary Sr. Engineering Manager, Sales Cloud to lead our Salesforce engineering portfolio into the future. In this role, you will not just manage a team—you will redefine how our sales organization operates by infusing our Salesforce ecosystem with cutting-edge AI, Agentic frameworks, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Key Responsibilities
- AI-Led Engineering: Actively research, prototype, and implement Generative AI tools, Agentic frameworks, and LLMs to enhance Sales Cloud functionalities, automate repetitive rep workflows, and drive proactive sales intelligence.
- Portfolio Ownership: Define and own the technical vision, roadmap, and architecture for our entire Salesforce Sales Cloud engineering portfolio.
- Futuristic Design: Lead the technical design of AI-driven projects—from initial proof-of-concepts and pilot programs to full-scale enterprise implementations.
- Sales Cloud Mastery: Oversee complex, highly scalable customizations within Sales Cloud, ensuring optimal performance for Lead Management, Opportunity Management, and Forecasting.
- Modern Development: Guide the team in executing complex development tasks using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows. Push platform boundaries by strategically integrating external frameworks to solve unique UX challenges.
- Integration Strategy: Architect robust, high-volume data integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems (ERP, DataLake etc) using APIs (REST/SOAP/Bulk) and middleware (e.g., SnapLogic, MuleSoft), ensuring flawless data integrity across the quote-to-cash flow.
- Agile Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Salesforce developers and architects in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Governance & DevOps: Institutionalize engineering best practices. Enforce strict DevOps standards (CI/CD, Git), conduct rigorous code reviews, and ensure all solutions align with security and data governance policies.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate intimately with Product Management, Sales Operations, and Business Leaders. Translate ambiguous business needs into concrete technical specifications, providing accurate effort sizing and alternative solutions to maximize ROI.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, with at least 8+ years specialized in Salesforce architecture and development.
- 3+ years of direct engineering management experience, successfully leading technical teams and managing complex project portfolios.
- Deep Sales Domain Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience implementing and optimizing Salesforce Sales Cloud, with a profound understanding of enterprise sales processes (e.g., complex sharing models, territory management, quote-to-cash).
- Modern SFDC Stack: Expert-level proficiency in Apex (Triggers, Batch, Asynchronous), LWC, Aura Components, SOQL, and robust security models.
- Integration & Middleware: Hands-on experience with complex integration patterns, APIs, and enterprise middleware platforms (strong preference for SnapLogic or similar orchestration tools).
- AI/LLM Proficiency: Demonstrable practical knowledge of Generative AI architectures. Proven experience designing, integrating, or prototyping LLMs and AI-driven features within an enterprise business context.
- Agentic Frameworks: Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and a proactive enthusiasm for bringing autonomous AI solutions into the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Analytical Rigor: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex, high-stakes technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate highly technical concepts (like AI architectures) to non-technical business stakeholders seamlessly.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
