Position Description

Support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the Customer Programs designed to advance natural gas adoption, optimize revenue opportunities, strengthen customer retention, and elevate the overall customer experience. In this role, you will execute customer-facing initiatives involving the Oklahoma Natural Gas Energy Efficiency Program. These programs play a critical role in promoting customer satisfaction and driving growth within the commercial division.

What You Will Do

  • Provides advanced technical and consultative expertise on natural gas appliances while overseeing stakeholder education and engagement efforts to support the Energy Efficiency Program.
  • Ensures compliance with program guidelines, communicates the value of natural gas and available rebate offerings, and drives customers and partner participation by helping them use natural gas safely, effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with appliance dealers, builders, realtors, HVAC and plumbing contractors, wholesalers, referring agencies, equipment manufacturers, school officials, residential customers and other influential stakeholders.
  • Provide Energy Efficiency Program rate information to these key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for incoming program requests from referring agencies to coordinate and/or assess potential replacement or rebate eligibility for potential eligible customers.
  • Present Energy Efficiency Program rebate offerings to small and large audiences of potential residential and commercial customers and homebuilders.
  • Plan and execute detailed outreach events intended to increase the use of natural gas and Energy Efficiency Program rebates, including association and community event sponsorships (as specified by position).
  • Conduct detailed field audits, pre-verification reviews and final inspections to evaluate residential, commercial, multi-family and builder eligibility for Energy Efficiency Program rebates (as specified by position).
  • Provide comprehensive Energy Efficiency Program rebate education, guidance and technical assistance to internal employees; plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractors; residential customers and other groups.
  • Write and edit Energy Efficiency Program rebate marketing collateral materials as needed and track promotional items/inventory.
  • Participate in civic, community, and professional groups to increase use of natural gas appliances through education about rebate program savings and other natural gas benefits information.
  • Provide leads for potential multi-family and/or homebuilder rebate recipients.
  • Support and act as point of contact for other company department personnel on special projects involving the Energy Efficiency Program.
  • Create, compile and present information and reports including but not limited to:
    • Energy efficiency cost comparisons
    • Natural gas appliance research
    • Appliance retailer research and database
    • New business proposals
    • Rebate spreadsheets
    • Program performance reports
    • Rebate audit reports

What You Will Need

  • Experience with reading, interpreting and applying company's Energy Efficiency Program, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with common industry practices when installing natural gas appliances in new construction, retro-fits, natural gas plumbing, HVAC systems, local code requirements and natural gas safety procedures.
  • Experience with relationship-based sales to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with researching and composing reports, studies, cost analyses, and correspondence related to Energy Efficiency and natural gas.
  • Experience with conducting meetings and delivering presentations to a variety of groups and individuals.
  • Experience researching and comprising reports, studies, cost analyses and correspondence.
  • Experience interacting and communicating effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
  • Minimum Applicable driver's license.

Physical requirements

  • Mobility to travel in and around office and outdoor environments and job sites.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment during demonstrations and presentations.
  • Ability to drive and maintain a company vehicle.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.

Communication requirements

  • Communicate and/or exchange information;
  • C Conduct oral presentations.

Visual requirements

  • Sufficient to perform job duties.
