About the role
This position's daily responsibilities include managing drivers, oversee customer deliveries along with tracking equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries
- Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers
- Lead and mentor dispatching staff
- Plan deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets
- Communicate with shippers and 3PL's
- Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
- Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
- Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, customer request and communication between team members
- Monitor web portals and input necessary information Using TMW Dispatch system
- Daily tracking of all chemical trailers
- Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members
- Work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor Degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of dispatching experience
- Excellent conflict resolution and skills
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and ability to use Word and Excel
