About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Director, Product Management for Merchant Capital at Fiserv. The ideal candidate will lead the development of product strategy, vision, and roadmaps while managing a team of Product Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic product vision and multi-year roadmaps for Clover’s Capital products and lending capabilities.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from market discovery and opportunity sizing through launch, scale, and continuous optimization across web, mobile, and in-person POS channels.
  • Build executive-level business cases, including financial models, opportunity sizing, ROI analysis, and monetization strategies, to align capital and resource allocation behind high-impact growth initiatives.
  • Leverage deep data analytics, merchant feedback, and market research to identify structural cash flow friction and evaluate Build vs. Buy vs. Partner/Integrate expansion strategies.
  • Hire, manage, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Product Managers.
  • Provide clear direction, foster career growth, and establish operational excellence across product squads.
  • Oversee and empower product managers in their daily execution, guiding sprint prioritization, backlog grooming, user story definition, and cross-functional dependency management without needing to act as a tactical Scrum Lead.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to communicate vision, present progress against strategic KPIs, and secure cross-functional commitments across Product Marketing, Design, Data Science, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success leadership to build comprehensive go-to-market and adoption strategies for major product rollouts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive Product Management experience in digital software, SaaS, or fintech environments.
  • 4+ years of direct People Management experience successfully leading, mentoring, and scaling teams of Product Managers.
  • Demonstrated Strategic Track Record: Proven experience defining product vision, building multi-year roadmaps, and successfully executing large-scale, complex product portfolios.
  • Fintech & Financial Services Expertise: Hands-on product leadership in SMB lending, merchant financing, business cash flow tools, or embedded financial services.
  • Broad track record delivering seamless, unified user experiences across Web, iOS, Android, and/or point-of-sale hardware touchpoints.
  • Data & Commercial Acumen: Proven mastery in leveraging metrics, A/B testing, and financial modeling to influence executive decision-making and drive core business outcomes.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a history of driving alignment across matrixed engineering, business, and executive teams.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience evaluating Build vs. Buy vs. Partner frameworks and executing third-party financial platform integrations.
  • Deep expertise in the SMB POS, acquiring, or merchant payments ecosystem.
  • Experience scaling product operations within enterprise SaaS or fintech organizations.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

What You Need To Have

  • Valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
