About the Role
The Global Cross Border team is responsible for defining the cross border business strategy across travel and eCommerce and managing its execution across our five regions, working closely with market teams and cross-functional leaders around the world. Cross Border is a key pillar of Visa’s 2030 strategy and one of the largest growth opportunities for Visa. Equally, it faces many complex and interesting challenges, touching all areas of the business, including product, pricing, legal, regulation, marketing, client engagement, and partnership development.
Essential Functions
- Turbo charge high-value travel offers and experiences to strengthen the Visa Destinations value proposition – working through how we show up in partner channels and global partnerships we double down on.
- Work with partners, AEs and regions to develop bespoke offerings for key issuers to drive Visa being synonymous with Travel.
- Work with our Marketing Services and Sponsorship teams to embed Travel into the operations of the organization so that we can activate through and with these teams.
- Turn data and insights into growth at scale, to inform key strategic decisions.
- Work closely with Global Marketing to support the activation of XB marketing into external brands and assets – leveraging their reach and funnels, including joint marketing plans, measurement and execution of promotional campaigns.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.
- Preferred Qualifications: 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in a strategic role within a global organization, focusing on cross border initiatives and/or consumer strategy.
- Strong understanding of international markets, customer segmentation, and value proposition development, including business case development and go-to-market planning.
- Leadership and project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to drive change and implement new strategies.
- Proficiency in project management and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in consumer financial services and payments.
- Demonstrated success in driving global growth initiatives.
Pay
The estimated salary range for this position is $217,600.00 to $ 348,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).

Variates upon the needs of the department.
Travel
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
