About the role

We are seeking a seasoned market researcher with experience in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to bring the consumer point-of-view on our advertising to marketers globally. In this role, you will manage cross-category and cross-channel Campaign Tracking and pre-testing tools, design test modules to validate and improve results over time, conduct research analysis, and serve as a consultant for internal teams such as marketing and finance.

You will proactively identify areas that would benefit from incorporation into the advertising testing and tracking suite, engage with the broader Amazon research community, and educate stakeholders on leveraging research to answer key business questions. The ideal candidate communicates insights clearly, challenges assumptions when needed, and drives business impact through actionable findings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and execution of primary research studies to generate actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholder teams.
  • Design interview guides/surveys, conduct interviews as necessary, analyze data, and synthesize findings.
  • Apply research and business acumen to help solve complex questions and anticipate future challenges.
  • Design scalable and nimble mechanisms to scale research solutions, tools, and processes.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
  • Establish relationships with business partners across regions and proactively address emerging issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of marketing research experience.
  • Experience in ad research covering multiple countries.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI packages.
  • Experience working within a global company with multi-country responsibilities.
  • Experience balancing conflicting priorities and working in ambiguous environments.
  • Expertise in quantitative research methods (e.g., factor analysis, regression analysis) and mixed-method studies (e.g., segmentation).
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, including experience authoring research reports.

Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities and business acumen.
  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
  • Attention to detail and vocally self-critical.
  • Ability to articulate complex research issues to non-research partners.
  • Conviction in findings to challenge business partner plans and assumptions when needed.

Pay

Base salary range: $125,400.00 – $169,600.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA).
