Sr. Compute Solutions Architect, Amazon EC2 Core

About the role

The Amazon EC2 Solutions Architecture team was created to make sure customers can deploy the most scalable, and most performant Compute architectures possible. You’ll play an important role as an advocate with our service teams to make sure we are building the right products.

Responsibilities

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Persistently engage with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
• Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
• Proficiency with debugging and troubleshooting application's developed in Java, Ruby, Python, C/C++, Go, or Rust language(s) and frameworks.
• Experience deploying and running containers at scale including orchestration technologies like EKS, ECS and Karpenter
• Breadth of expertise deploying multi-az and multi-region applications on a public cloud provider.
