Sr. Compute Solutions Architect, Amazon EC2 Core

About the role

The Amazon EC2 Solutions Architecture team is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for supporting customers across the wide range of EC2 instances. As a Compute Solution Architect (SA), you will work with customers globally, partner closely with the engineering, business development, and technical field teams to drive the adoption of Amazon EC2 Compute resources.

Responsibilities

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
• Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
• Proficiency with debugging and troubleshooting application's developed in Java, Ruby, Python, C/C++, Go, or Rust language(s) and frameworks.
• Experience deploying and running containers at scale including orchestration technologies like EKS, ECS and Karpenter
• Breadth of expertise deploying multi-az and multi-region applications on a public cloud provider.
