Sr. Compute Solutions Architect, Amazon EC2 Core
About the Role
AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems.
The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.
The Amazon EC2 Solutions Architecture team was created to make sure customers can deploy the most scalable, and most performant Compute architectures possible. You'll play an important role as an advocate with our service teams to make sure we are building the right products. The team is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for our supporting customers across the wide range of EC2 instances.
