Sr Business System Analyst

About The Role
Treasury Support is looking for a Sr Business Systems Analyst for the Treasury Debt Management System (TDMS) business line. Reporting to a Treasury Product Manager, you will serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and operations. You will analyze complex business needs, translate them into clear, actionable system requirements, and support delivery of high-quality Treasury applications that serve mission-critical federal programs.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a comprehensive overview of the system and its functionality by preparing detailed business and technical documentation.
- Analyze complex business processes and present them in an understandable and logical format.
- Recommend processes and procedures to improve the existing system.
- Develop detailed requirements documentation including user stories, use cases, design specifications, business process and data flows, and success criteria.
- Be a product expert and assist the product owner with backlog maintenance and refinement, including creating user stories, clarifying defects, detailing acceptance criteria, and data definitions.
- Use knowledge of requirements, operations and engineering activities, and deadlines to communicate schedule considerations and impacts to priorities.
- Participate and help facilitate sessions for planning program increments, sprints, refinements, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot production issues, help validate defect remediation, and work with Treasury end-users toward resolution or workarounds.
- Work in a hybrid capacity to actively participate in meetings with operational staff, Treasury end users, and developers to achieve agreement on requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to multitask, manage time, and balance conflicting priorities.
- Provide training and support to Treasury end users and FRB production and application support team(s) as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
- 5+ years’ relevant experience performing Business Systems Analyst activities.
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills for a hybrid workforce.
- Discipline to operate independently and thrive in ambiguity with a generalist mindset.
- Experience conducting requirements analysis, meeting with business owners, performing current state system analysis mapping, and design.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum iterative product development.
- Experience with testing applications including functional, user acceptance, system and integration, accessibility testing.
- Treasury or related finance experience preferred.
- Experience using Confluence and JIRA.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower pay grade or salary.
- US Citizen or lawful permanent resident with three or more years of US residency.
- Travel (up to 15%).

Pay
Salary: $110,800-$144,100
