About the role
The Senior Development Manager leads the full business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification and capture strategy through proposal submission and award support. This role serves as both a strategic leader and hands-on proposal manager, leading cross-functional teams to develop winning solutions for government and commercial healthcare opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full proposal development lifecycle, including opportunity assessment, capture planning, proposal development, submission, and internal tracking.
- Facilitate proposal strategy sessions and lead interdisciplinary teams in developing compelling, compliant, and customer-focused solutions.
- Cook up proposal schedules, assignments, reviews, and final production activities to ensure high-quality submissions.
- Partner with operational leaders, subject matter experts, and executives to develop innovative, competitive solutions.
- Manage conference planning, logistics, exhibitor activities, and outreach efforts while representing Comagine Health to prospective clients and partners.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and cross-training to development managers, operational staff, and subject matter experts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen proposal development processes and business development operations.
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Eight (8)+ years of experience in business development, proposal management, capture management, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience managing project teams or proposal teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex proposal efforts with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management, communication, and facilitation skills.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Master's degree in a related field.
- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification.
- Experience supporting federal, state, or healthcare-related procurements.
