About the role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team. This role focuses on supporting the acquisition, development, sale, and leasing of restaurant, retail, and manufacturing facilities, including local and national multi-unit properties for sophisticated clients. The position involves close collaboration with our real estate and mergers & acquisitions teams and includes meaningful work on title and survey matters, transaction documents, due diligence, and closings.

Responsibilities
- Draft and review commercial real estate agreements, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, conveyance documents, and related closing materials.
- Conduct title and survey review, due diligence, and manage the closing process.
- Identify and summarize key issues in purchase agreements, leases, title commitments, surveys, and closing documents with clear, concise drafting skills.
- Exercise sound judgment in raising issues, asking questions, recommending practical next steps, and communicating clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Maintain strong organization and follow-through on due diligence checklists, closing timelines, and transaction deliverables.
- Manage multiple transaction tasks with appropriate supervision while ensuring accuracy and readiness for signature.
- Apply creative problem-solving using internal and external resources effectively.
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial real estate experience at a law firm, in-house legal department, or comparable real estate environment.
- Experience with leasing, financing, and Phase I environmental review is a plus.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota (or eligible for immediate admission).
