About the role
The Senior Application Launch Manager will lead projects implementing Kenco’s Warehouse Management (WMS) systems across the company's network of sites. This role requires a collaborative approach to project management and involves working closely with senior management and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Independently leads project coordination, including design, implementation planning, and execution;
- Schedules kickoff meetings, gathers requirements, analyzes, builds, tests, and launches projects;
- Liaises with vendors and customers;
- Maintains and updates product documentation and training materials;
- Trains and troubleshoots production issues;
- Develops and implements business requirements for customizations and integrations;
- Predicts project delays and ensures timely project completion;
- Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders;
- Manages project risks and creates recommendations;
- Conducts project post-mortems and prepares reports;
- Turnsover projects to production support;
- Assists in defining best practices for project management;
- Submits and recommends budget adjustments;
- Tracks project progress and reports status to management;
- Designs and executes test plans;
- Mentors junior level resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in project management and implementation of WMS and/or LMS;
- Proficiency in SQL;
- Experience integrating WMS systems with ERP systems (SAP preferred), WCS a plus;
- Ability to establish positive relationships with clients and third-party service/product providers;
- Knowledge of distribution center/logistics concepts, including warehousing terminology;
- Strong business planning and analytical skills, including market intelligence, metrics, financial analysis, and business model development;
- Highly motivated and self-sufficient, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
