About the role

The Senior Application Launch Manager will lead projects implementing Kenco’s Warehouse Management (WMS) systems from a functional and technical perspective across the company's network of sites. This role involves addressing business needs with systems related to Kenco’s platform, supporting the warehousing/logistics industry, and ensuring the initial implementation at operational sites.

Responsibilities

  • Independently leads the coordination of all project activities during the life of a project, including design, implementation planning, and execution.
  • Schedules kickoff meetings, gathers requirements, analyzes, builds, tests, and launches projects.
  • Liaises with vendors and customers, develops and maintains product documentation and training materials, troubleshoots issues, and provides Level 3 production support.
  • Writes and documents business requirements for configurations, customizations, and integrations, and develops these customizations for WMS, LMS, or WCS.
  • Ensures projects are launched on time according to agreed-upon timelines and predicts potential delays to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborates with senior management and stakeholders to develop project scopes, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives.
  • Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders through regular status reports and effectively manages communication.
  • Manages project risks, develops mitigation plans, defines project success criteria, conducts post-mortems, and prepares recommendations for future projects.
  • Assists management in defining best practices for project management and recommends post-launch budget adjustments as needed.
  • Tracks departmental activities, reports progress to management, and oversees the successful transition of projects to production support.
  • Designs test plans, provides mentorship to junior-level resources, and assists in the resolution of technical issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in project management and implementation, specifically with WMS and/or LMS.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience integrating WMS systems with ERP systems (such as SAP), and WCS (Warehouse Control Systems) is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external clients and third-party service/product providers.
  • Knowledge of distribution center/logistics concepts, including best practices, warehousing terminology, and ability to visualize and understand "to be" models.
  • Strong business acumen, communication skills, and the ability to solve problems creatively and strategically.
  • Highly motivated and self-sufficient, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising deadlines.
  • Professional confidence and credibility with the ability to communicate complex IT concepts effectively to executive-level management.
  • Strong business planning and analytical skills, including market intelligence, metrics, financial analysis, and business model development.

Pay

Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with occasional travel required, approximately 25% to 50%.
