Sr Appl Launch Manager

About the role

The Senior Application Launch Manager will lead the implementation of Kenco's Warehouse Management (WMS) systems across the company's network of sites. This role involves addressing business needs through systems like WMS, LMS, and WCS, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

• Independently leads project coordination, including design, implementation planning, and execution.
• Schedules kickoff meetings, gathers requirements, analyzes, builds, tests, and launches projects.
• Liaises with vendors and customers, develops documentation, and creates training materials.
• Manages risks, defines success criteria, conducts post-mortems, and prepares project closure artifacts.
• Assists in defining best practices for project management and recommends budget adjustments.
• Tracks progress, reports status, and oversees project turnarounds to production support.
• Mentors junior resources and assists in defining best practices for project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in project management and WMS/LMS implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience integrating WMS systems with ERP systems (SAP).
• Experience with WCS (Warehouse Control Systems).
• Ability to create positive business relationships and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and able to solve problems creatively and strategically.
• Strong business planning and analytical skills, including market intelligence and financial analysis.

Travel Requirements

This position requires approximately 25% to 50% travel. A passport is recommended but not required.
