Sports Specialist (Asst Baseball Coach) Temp FT NTE 2 Years–6860

Location: New London, CT – US Coast Guard Academy

Temporary full-time position not to exceed 2 years (30–40 hrs/wk). Salary: $24.10/hour plus depending on experience.

About the role

This position supports the Head Baseball Coach with coaching and administration of a Division III Baseball program at the US Coast Guard Academy, Athletic Activity Fund.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all college, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Provide practice instruction and in-game support/coaching, including player and skill development.
• Assist with analytical tracking and video assessment.
• Recruit athletically talented, academically qualified, and diverse student-athletes.
• Develop both in-season and off-season training programs.
• Assist with social media postings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Collegiate baseball experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate, high school, or baseball club coaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting athletically talented, academically qualified, and diverse student-athletes to an academically rigorous institution.
