About the Role
Serves as a sales and account management executive, supporting communities comprised of military and civilian personnel and their families.
Responsibilities
- Prospects for new clients through a variety of sources and sales leads utilizing the Internet, trade publications, competitive sources, and trade shows.
- Develops proposals and evaluation criteria, and negotiates sponsorship and advertising agreements.
- Coordinates closely with local level counterparts and officials of other agencies or components to execute agreements; obtains legal counseling as necessary.
- Acts as account manager for clients to ensure that benefits are executed and terms of agreement are met.
- Attends related board, committee, and special event planning meetings.
- Provides expert advice and assistance that includes training.
- Makes presentations, writes, and performs public relations duties.
- Tracks all Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising (CS&A) dollars received and spent throughout the fiscal year.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Travel is required.
- Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Qualifications
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
- Work experience demonstrating proven ability and experience in sales, negotiations, account management, or client care.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Highly preferred candidates will be referred to management first. Preferred qualifications include at least one of the following:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or a similar field.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales.
- Experience in bookkeeping with funds, such as tracking CS&A dollars.
- Working knowledge of the military and MWR community.
Experience must be clearly stated in the resume, and education documents (if applicable) must be uploaded at the time of application.
