Role Overview: A Home Health Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, develops, and implements individualized speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing treatment plans in patients' homes or facilities. They assess patient conditions, administer diagnostic tests, and provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and functional abilities. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat speech/language disorders, participating in care planning and review.Administer diagnostic tests and interpret results, including audiologic screenings.Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the healthcare team.Train patients in alternative communication methods when needed.Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and staff.Maintain thorough documentation and participate in care coordination and discharge planning.Uphold confidentiality and adhere to professional conduct standards.Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education. Qualifications & Skills Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA).Minimum six months of relevant experience; home health experience preferred.Current, unrestricted licensure and CPR certification.Strong organizational and communication skills.Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Compensation & Benefits: Pay ranges from $54.00 to $76.00 per visit/unit, totaling $85,400 to $117,500 annually for full-time roles.
