Speech Therapist - PRN

About the Role

The Speech Therapist assesses and evaluates patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. They develop and implement treatment plans, perform interventions to improve communication and functional abilities, and monitor patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within legal scope and in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Evaluate patient functioning and assist in developing care plans
• Treat patients to enhance communication and swallowing abilities
• Document patient responses and changes in condition
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members on therapy techniques
• Adapt to diverse home environments and patient backgrounds

Requirements

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the relevant state
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification
• Availability for weekend work
