Speech Therapist - Outpatient

Responsibilities

• Counsels and evaluates patients to identify communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Adapts therapy approaches based on patient progress and feedback.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams, manages referrals, and orders necessary supplies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress.
• Promotes patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
• Educates patients on the proper use of assistive devices and other equipment.
• Facilitates communication and coordination among interdisciplinary healthcare providers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Reliable transportation to reach various patient locations.
• The ability to assess and treat a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders, including cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, and dysphagia.
