Speech Therapist (SLP) - Outpatient

Speech Therapist | Part time | Mobile Outpatient Therapy Overview: Provides outpatient speech-language rehabilitation services primarily in patients' homes or care facilities, focusing on older adults. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, developing and implementing treatment plans, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams to improve communication and swallowing functions. The role involves supervising support personnel, maintaining documentation, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The therapist promotes health, adapts programs to individual needs, and manages therapeutic equipment and devices. Responsibilities Evaluate patients through history, tests, and assessments to diagnose impairments.Design and modify treatment plans collaboratively with patients and caregivers.Deliver therapy for cognitive-communication, speech, swallowing, and related disorders.Coordinate with physicians and team members for comprehensive care.Order supplies, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe environment.Instruct patients in the use of communication devices and refer for hearing assessments when needed.Perform routine reexaminations and modify treatment plans accordingly.Supervise support personnel and support professional development. Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist license or eligibility in practice state(s).Reliable transportation or valid driver's license. Salary range: USD $48.00 - USD $61.00 per hour.
