About the Role
The Speech Therapist delivers quality patient care through assessments, prescribed treatments, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide Speech Therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
- Develop and maintain individualized evaluation and treatment plans aligned with patient goals.
- Coordinate care with healthcare team, including discharge planning.
- Ensure confidentiality and effective communication with staff, patients, and families.
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff and provide progress reports to physicians and stakeholders.
- Manage supplies and respond to emergencies.
- Promote health and train family members.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted SLP license in applicable states.
- CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Compliance with health-related mandates, including vaccinations and testing, where applicable.
Qualifications
Preferably, one year of recent acute care experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
