About the Role

The Speech Therapist in Home Health assesses and treats patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. They develop and implement treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient well-being, and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within legal scope and in coordination with the healthcare team
• Evaluate patient function using diagnostic tests and assist in developing therapy plans
• Treat patients to improve communication skills according to accepted standards
• Document patient responses and notify supervising professionals of changes
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques

Requirements

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, or access to public transit
• Willingness to work a weekend rotation
