Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellowship (CFY)

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics (required)
• Home health experience (preferred)
• Feeding experience
• Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
• Valid auto insurance and driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients’ degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairments by selecting and administering appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient; advise and consult on specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training, printed materials, and in-service programs aligned with the total speech therapy program
• May supervise Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
