About the role
The role involves designing and delivering specialized education programs tailored to students with special educational needs, collaborating with families, and participating in professional development activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development.
- Provide direct instruction and support in classroom settings.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid teaching license in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in using assistive technology and accommodations.
- Experience with data collection and analysis.
