Specimen Technician I
About the role
Quest Diagnostics is seeking Specimen Technicians to join our team in Little Rock, AR. This position offers an opportunity to work for a Fortune 500 company leading the world in diagnostic information services.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime may be required.
Pay
Starting pay range: $18.00+ per hour. Eligible employees may receive a shift differential of 10% for second shift and 15% for third shift. Salary offers consider relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Annual performance bonus compensation may also be available.

Responsibilities
- Data entry of test orders
- Presort, pickup, and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory
- Centrifugation and aliquoting of specimens
- Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing
- Prepare specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
- Identify and resolve issues with specimen types, such as missing information
- Understand the relationship between tests ordered and specimens received
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior experience required; previous experience in a production or medical environment is preferred
- Flexibility to work nightshift, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed
