Specialty Finance - Payments Sales Manager - Vice President
About the role
Join the Specialty Finance and Alternative Lenders Payments Sales team as a Payments Sales Manager within the Financial Institutions Group. You will drive the end-to-end client experience, develop business from existing and new clients, expand relationships, and achieve new business sales goals through effective account planning and sophisticated Payments solutions.
Responsibilities
- Sell products with value to the firm and build a strong pipeline.
- Execute a comprehensive selling strategy in conjunction with Product and Banking coverage officers.
- Collaborate with client service, compliance, operations, technology, risk, credit, and legal to optimize delivery.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the market, client industries, organizational structures, buying processes, and business objectives to position J.P. Morgan solutions effectively.
- Drive the execution of the J.P. Morgan Payments sales and client strategy to achieve new business sales objectives, maintain revenue streams, expand market share, and increase share of wallet with target clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience selling cash management products and knowledge of such products.
- Familiarity with Trade Finance products, credit, the credit/risk process, and compliance nuances of correspondent banking relationships.
- Ability to manage client risk dynamics, including global relationships, and contribute to balanced risk/reward implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to work across cultures with internal teams and external clients globally.
- Proven track record in identifying and exploiting supplemental sales opportunities, positioning and closing new business, and designing value-added services.
- Competence in assessing new opportunities, prospecting, and contacting key decision makers.
- Strong account planning and execution skills.
- Understanding of customer industries, business needs, and potential solutions.
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in Specialty Finance.
- International market experience, including managing sales in global markets with a focus on payment channels.
- Cross-border collaboration experience, including managing complex international projects and communication.
- Adaptability to changing market conditions, client needs, and regulatory environments.
