Specialty Account Manager, Nephrology-Oklahoma
About the role
This role represents Amgen products to physicians and healthcare professionals, establishes product sales, and performs total territory account management. Responsibilities include providing disease information and education, implementing marketing goals, building productive relationships with key KOLs, and maintaining a high-level disease and therapeutic clinical and scientific knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient-centered disease and product education to HCPs to improve patient care
- Execute a strategic account business plan
- Navigate and identify opportunities through the healthcare landscape
- Establish productive business relationships with key KOLs
- Develop and maintain a high-level, in-depth disease and therapeutic clinical and scientific knowledge
- Utilize a consultative selling approach involving a highly technical, solution-oriented selling technique
- Adhere to corporate compliance guidelines and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Graduate business or healthcare related degree preferred
- 7+ experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceutical, or rare disease sales
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Rare disease/orphan drug experience; ultra-orphan preferred; Rare disease launch experience strongly preferred
- Nephrology experience preferred

Pay
The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is (Account Manager – Level 4) $145,311 - $196,597 (Specialty Account Manager – Level 5) $158,931 - $215,025. Schedule
Requires approximately 20-30% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
