Location: Glen C. Taylor Elementary School, Henderson

About the Role

This position provides instructional and behavioral support to students with autism in a primary-grade setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction under teacher supervision.
• Support students with communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and collect data on student progress.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom management and organization.
• Collaborate with special education staff, therapists, and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children, preferably those with autism or special needs.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

Schedule

9 months (school year), 6 hours per day.
