About the role

Support staff are essential in providing a safe and nurturing environment for students with autism. They assist in implementing individualized education plans, promoting social skills, and ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of the students.

Responsibilities

• Implementing daily routines and schedules to support student needs
• Assisting with classroom activities and behavior management
• Participating in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
• Providing emotional support and encouragement to students
• Assisting with the preparation and distribution of meals
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required

Salary range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
