SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS TEACHER ASSISTANT - MCDONIEL, ESTES M. ES.

9-month position, 6 hours per day – Autism-Primary program for grades K-2.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or other similar organization. Certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Training must be in-person and include a hands-on component; online courses are not accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Signing abilities (for the hearing-impaired program).
• One year of experience working with special education children.

Documents Required at Time of Application

• High school transcript or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• Copy of the front and back of the current CPR/AED certificate.
• Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
• Out-of-district applicants: three most recent years of work experience, including dates of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
