About the Role

Uses specialized knowledge to support key areas of the organization related to an area of expertise. Applies data, research analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to support colleagues and leadership in achieving the organization’s strategic objectives. Serves as a peer influencer and may direct a project or project team by leveraging industry experience and specialized knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule complex facility-based ancillary testing across multiple facilities/states.
  • Schedule for multiple facilities with significant variants in protocols.
  • Responsible for pre-registration, scheduling, electronically verifying insurance eligibility, and accurately identifying and collecting patient financial responsibility.
  • Handle complex scheduled events, including high-dollar testing, associated studies, and those with study-specific instructions.
  • Communicate effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.
  • Initiate the overall patient experience and the billing process for any services provided by the hospital.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to five years of experience in an area of expertise such as scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access.
  • National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire.
  • Proficiency in the use of Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and related software systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple scheduling systems and demonstrated proficiency in complex diagnostic testing appointment scheduling processes with a minimum of five years of scheduling experience in an acute care setting.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Remote)
