Specialist III, Talent Acquisition (Onboarding)
About the role
The Specialist III, Talent Acquisition (Onboarding) position is an integral member of the Talent Acquisition Welcome Wagon team, responsible for ensuring a smooth candidate experience and timely progression through all pre-employment screenings and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Candidate Lifecycle & Onboarding Support
- Provide onboarding, monitoring, research, and administrative support to hiring managers across the Village
- Oversee the full Welcome Wagon onboarding process for assigned candidates, ensuring background checks, drug screens, and other state/local screenings are initiated and completed within SLA
- Review and process internal job changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, lateral moves) by proactively initiating and monitoring required screenings to ensure compliance and timely teammate transitions
- Track and monitor candidate progress across multiple systems, proactively resolving issues to avoid delays
- Review screening outcomes and documentation to make timely and accurate hire decisions
- Compliance & Data Integrity
- Ensure adherence to People Services policies, state/federal regulations, and company compliance requirements
- Maintain data integrity across platforms
- Maintain various databases of information to initiate, update, and complete onboarding processes, and adjudicate basic screenings in systems such as: Workday eScreen HireRight
- Use reporting and automation to process audits and report metrics
- Collaboration & Relationship Management
- Partner with other corporate PS functions (e.g., Teammate Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting), to deliver positive business results
- Communicate effectively with Village partners, hiring managers, and external vendors to resolve escalations and ensure an exceptional candidate experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive accountability and efficiency
- Training & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct process and procedure training as needed for internal stakeholders and teammates
- Identify process bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve compliance, reduce turnaround times, and enhance candidate experience
- Contribute to team projects focused on streamlining workflows and strengthening the Welcome Wagon process
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years in an office/customer service environment or human resources role
- A High School Diploma

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. New York
For New York residents, the Wage Range for the role is $24.00 - $36.50/hour. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
- New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year
- New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour
Washington
For Washington residents, the Wage Range for the role is $24.00 - $36.50/hour. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
- Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year
- Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
Colorado
