About the role
The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our friendly, dedicated and professional team and contribute to providing a high quality multi-disciplinary service to the Lochaber area.
Responsibilities
- Work within an acute NHS laboratory, following written protocols and procedures.
- Contribute to an on-call 24/7/365 rota once trained.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Provide Biochemistry, Haematology, Coagulation, Blood Transfusion and Microbiology services.
Requirements
- HCPC registered.
- Experience of working within an acute NHS laboratory.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a relevant degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
