Special Services Teacher - 1.0 FTE - Shakopee High School
Job Summary
Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting and/or co-taught classroom, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, direct the work of paraprofessionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability
- Create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth
- Establish effective working relationships with students and parents
- Work collaboratively with other staff members
Requirements
- Valid MN teaching licensure in special education, specifically EBD, SLD, ASD or ABS
- NVCI (CPI) training preferred
- Experience working with a variety of disabilities, and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of these students
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
Qualifications
Training for specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district.

Pay
Salary ranges from $52,020 to $126,971 depending upon education level and experience.
