Job Summary
About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect Special Education services to students
- Monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives
- Follow due process and IEP procedures and manage paperwork
- Communicate effectively with families and staff
- Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans
- Direct the work of Paraeducator(s)
- Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability
- Create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth
- Establish effective working relationships with students and parents
- Work collaboratively with other staff members
Requirements
- Valid MN teaching licensure in Special Education EBD, SLD, ASD or ABS or willingness and ability to obtain a valid MN teaching license or OFP in Special Education EBD, SLD, ASD or ABS
- NVCI (CPI) training preferred
- Experience working with a variety of disabilities and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of these students
- Training for specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
- Experience with student behavior management in the classroom and implementation of behavior intervention plans preferred
Qualifications
Education/Training/Experience:

Schedule
Salary can range anywhere between $52,020 to $126,971 depending upon education level and experience.
