LTS Special Services Teacher - 1.0 FTE - Shakopee High School
Job Summary
The assignment will begin as soon as possible through June 5, 2026.
Required Education/Training/Experience
- Valid MN teaching licensure in special education, specifically EBD, SLD, ASD or ABS.NVCI (CPI) training preferred.
- Experience working with a variety of disabilities, and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of these students.
- Training for specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district.
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
Provide Instruction
Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability, create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth.
Work Relationships
- Establish effective working relationships with students and parents,
- Work collaboratively with other staff members.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting and/or co-taught classroom,
- Monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives;
- Follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork;
- Communicate effectively with families and staff;
- Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans,
- Direct the work of paraprofessionals(s).

Pay
Salary ranges from $51,000 to $71,251 depending upon education level and experience.
