Special Services Teacher, LTS - 1.0 FTE - Shakopee High School

Job Summary

The assignment will begin at the beginning of the third quarter on January 26, 2026 through June 5, 2026.

About the Role

Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting and/or co-taught classroom, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, direct the work of paraprofessionals (s).

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability
• Create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth
• Establish effective working relationships with students and parents
• Work collaboratively with other staff members

Requirements

• MN licensure in special education EBD, SLD, ASD or ABS
• NVCI (CPI) training preferred
• Experience working with a variety of disabilities
• The ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of these students
• Training for specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction

Qualifications

Pay

Salary ranges from $51,000 to $71,251 depending upon education level and experience.
