Special Procedures Technologist
What You Will Do
Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under the direction of a physician.
Explains the procedure to the patient and preps the patient for the procedure.
- Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse.
- Circulates during the procedure and maintains responsibility for patient comfort.
- Provides supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
- Removes catheters/sheaths and applies direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
- Provides necessary report information to the holding area or nursing unit as needed.
Records and processes hemodynamic reports, contrast media records and charges promptly and accurately.
Communicates equipment malfunctions to leadership or department engineer for repairs.
What You Need
- Ace's degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology program required; or an ARRT or RCIS graduate from a Cardiovascular Interventional Training program; or two years' work experience in Interventional Radiology or similar modality.
- Registered as Radiologic Technologist through ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required.
- BLS Provider (CPR) certification required.
- AACLIS preferred.
- Advanced certification required within one year of hire date (ARRT CV, CI, or VI).
About the Role
This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Position Highlights Sign On Bonus: $15,000 sign on bonus for qualified new hires or $10,000 for qualified new graduates in this specialty. Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 in Relocation Assistance (for qualified candidates)
