Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with special needs in various settings within the district.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other special education professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other staff members to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
• Support students' social and emotional development.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a Special Education certification as required by Connecticut State Statutes.
• Comprehensive Grades K-12 Certification (165) is required.
