About the role
The Teacher - Early Autism Program (EAP) works with students between the ages of two and five individually.
Responsibilities
- Assure that IFSP/IEP mandates are fulfilled
- Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities
- Coordinate development of reports and recommendations
- Establish and monitor individual casebooks, data collection, and charting systems
- Collaborate with related service providers, center-based staff, consultants, and supervisors as necessary
- Conduct educational activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills in areas of need
- Assure appropriate communication with parents/caregivers, including encouragement of parent participation in instructional sessions
- Assure that all required paperwork is completed
Requirements
- New York State Certification: Special Education Teacher (Birth-2)
- Licenses & Certifications: EDU-Stud w/ Dis Birth-2
