Special Education Paraeducators K-12 (Part-Time)

About the role

Multiple K-12 part-time positions available at Mowrey Elementary and WAMS. Please indicate which school(s) you are interested in working at. The WASD is seeking paraeducators and caregivers who have experience working with special needs individuals in a school setting or care facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support and guidance
• Provide emotional support
• Monitor behavior
• Assist students with personal care needs
• Work closely with teachers and other professional staff to support students' needs and goals
• Transportation duties may be required

Qualifications

• Experience working with special needs individuals in a school setting or care facility
• Reliable and devoted
• Strong desire to work with special needs students
• Background clearances are required for all positions

Skills

• AED training preferred
• CPR preferred
• First Aid preferred

Pay

$18.29 hour

Schedule

5.5-5.75 hours per day, 184 days
