Pay
$20.51 per hour plus benefits (Range 19). Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $32.85 per hour plus benefits.

2026-2027 school year, 182 days

About the Role
Provide an enriched atmosphere where students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society. Facilitate learning and guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation. This position reports to the building principal and department director where assigned.
Responsibilities
- Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups of students with identified significant needs
- Provide student-specific personal care and support
- Assist with daily classroom activities
- Assist in data collection
- Sanitize equipment and materials
- Provide support to staff as needed
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, manage numerous distractions, and maintain visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity
- Move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Requirements
- AA degree or 48 semester hours or passing scores on WorkKeys exam
- Preferred: CPI training (training provided)
- Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to perform the functions of the position
- Ability to provide student-specific personal care support
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and desire to work in a team setting
- Upper body strength with the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Paraprofessional experience
- Bilingual skills
