Essential Job Functions
- Aid in the planning, organization, and execution of Spanish Youth and Spanish Young Adult weekly services, events, and ministry initiatives.
- Support the overall quality and effectiveness of Spanish Youth and Spanish Young Adult ministry programming.
- Recruit, communicate with, and support volunteer leaders for weekly services, events, and ministry initiatives.
- Adhere to all established Child Safety & Emergency protocols as defined by law and Lakewood Church policies.
- Aid in the volunteer and leadership development process for NextGen Spanish Ministry.
- Care for ministry logistics, materials, communication, and administrative needs for weekly gatherings and special events.
- Coordinate the annual Spanish Festival Lakewood event and other ministry-related events.
- Maintain accurate database records for NextGen Spanish Ministry events, attendance, volunteers, and ministry best practices.
- Communicate effectively with students, young adults, parents, volunteers, leaders, and ministry staff in both English and Spanish.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with tact, discretion, and professionalism.
- Perform general office duties, including scheduling, communication, recordkeeping, and ministry-related administrative tasks.
- Assist with special projects, event preparation, and ministry assignments as needed.
Ministerial Duties
- Communicate the Church's beliefs and mission to congregants.
- Maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures.
- Belong to the Church as part of the faith community.
- Attend Church services and classes.
- Serve as a Prayer Partner or volunteer in any ministry of the Church.
- Serve the community through local outreaches as needed by the Church.
Qualifications
- Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church's vision, values, and core beliefs.
- Demonstrated Christ-like character, spiritual maturity, and alignment with Lakewood Church culture.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, identify priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on assignments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a culturally diverse population.
- Ability to handle conflict, resolve problems, and communicate with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written communication skills, including proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and business formatting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently on projects and collaboratively with ministry leaders, staff, volunteers, students, and young adults.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, services, conferences, and special events as required.
