About the role

Wholegoods Products are managed and/or sourced within the CNH purchasing department, but the actual production is completed by an external OEM or Contracted Supplier. Wholegoods products include, but are not limited to complete tractor, or construction machinery, attachments, and associated service parts. The Commodity Sourcing Specialist for Wholegoods oversees the procurement of these products, serves as commodity purchasing, product development purchasing, and procurement functions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Platforms, Marketing, Brands, Corporate Development, and Parts to achieve the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as Commodity Purchasing and Product Development (PD) Purchasing, developing and executing sourcing strategies to support new product programs and achieve timing, cost, quality, delivery, market share, and margin objectives.
  • Leads sourcing activities from initial supplier selection through product launch and lifecycle support, including Global Compact Tractor and Global Loader and Attachment programs in AG and other CE wholegoods.
  • Owns purchased product cost and key supplier relationships, serving as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders and managing strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Leads commercial negotiations and contract management, including long-term agreements (LTAs), contract amendments, pricing strategies, commercial savings, raw material pricing, and other cost optimization initiatives.
  • Identifies and implements cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities while balancing commercial objectives, product competitiveness, and long-term supplier sustainability.
  • Ensures supply continuity and mitigates supplier and supply-chain risk to support operational and customer requirements.
  • Manages Parts & Service and aftermarket requirements for associated products, including supplier, pricing, contract, and lifecycle needs.
  • Partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Global Product Platforms, Marketing, Commercial Brands, Material Management, Lifecycle, Legal, Logistics, and Parts & Service to achieve revenue, margin, delivery, quality, and program objectives.
  • Coordinates supplier involvement, regional requirements, and product configurations to support new product offerings, commercial requirements, and revenue growth.
  • Manages ERP/system readiness and pricing alignment to ensure successful product launches and ongoing operational execution.
  • Aligns technical, commercial, and operational objectives across suppliers and internal stakeholders, with the role focused approximately 80% on strategic activities and 20% on operational execution.
  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
  • Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations.
  • Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
  • May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
  • May participate in design and/or technical reviews.
  • May select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain or other relevant experience.

Pay

The annual salary for this role is USD $86,625.00 - $132,825.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.) For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
