Sourcing Manager

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Interface with component manufacturers, distribution channels, and contract manufacturers to identify suppliers, execute contracts, and negotiate costs.
• Execute purchasing responsibilities to maximize supply continuity, growth potential, and profitability of the business unit (BU).
• Coordinate and build strong relationships across the organization with Asia-based supply chain, engineering, and product development functions.
• Manage the existing supplier base, driving continuous improvement in key metrics such as cost reduction, lead time, service level, quality DPPM, payment terms, and inventory.
• Support new product development by collaborating with a cross-functional team including Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Finance to successfully develop and execute new product launches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience sourcing in consumer, technology, or other high-growth industries.
• Experience building and managing international teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both externally with suppliers and internally with various functions including engineering, product development, quality, finance, and supply chain.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven recommendations, both tactical and strategic, to senior management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels within the organization.

Qualifications

• BS in Purchasing/Supply Chain/Business Management/Engineering preferred.
