About the Role
The Sorter 1 is responsible for inspecting, sorting, and preparing parts and materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts for defects, damages, or inconsistencies, and sort accordingly
- Remove, document, and communicate defective items to the Quality team
- Assist with inventory organization, labeling, and shipment preparation
- Maintain accurate records of quantities, types, and defects
- Adhere to 5S standards, safety, environmental, and quality policies
- Complete documentation accurately and perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing, inspection, or sorting preferred but not required
- Familiarity with measuring and inspection tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Basic math skills for recording information
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Dependability and focus on quality and production goals
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift regularly, up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials
- Visual acuity for defect detection and color recognition
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures, while wearing PPE
