Director of Epilepsy

• Provide leadership in clinical care, program development, and academic research
• Establish evidence-based protocols for epilepsy care
• Manage program operations
• Spearhead academic initiatives

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Strategically plan, develop, and enhance the epilepsy program
• Establish and lead an epilepsy fellowship program, including curriculum design, recruitment, and mentorship
• Allocate dedicated administrative time to manage program operations, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental budgets
• Provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows
• Engage in clinical research and quality improvement projects to advance epilepsy care
• Foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation within the department
• Serve as a key liaison within the health system, promoting integrated patient care and academic collaboration
• Participate in strategic decision-making to shape the future direction of the neurology department

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified/Board-eligible in Neurology
• Experience in epilepsy care
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to academic excellence and innovation
