About the role

This position is available for a sonography student in their final year of an accredited program to gain on-the-job training while maintaining their current schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for staying informed about policy changes.
  • Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings.
  • Performs or assists in performing quality ultrasound examinations under supervision.
  • Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed.
  • Assists with room preparation and restocking of supplies.
  • Engages in educational activities to improve patient care.
  • Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care for patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current enrollment in an AMA or CMA accredited program in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $29.70 per hour.

Schedule

Sonography students' schedules will be based on their current school schedule of classroom time and clinical rotations. The position is PRN (per request).
