About the role

This position is designed for a sonography student in their final year of an accredited program who will work around their class and clinical schedule to gain on-the-job training and earn pay.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to general hospital standards to maintain a cooperative work environment.
  • Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings.
  • Performs or assists in performing quality ultrasound examinations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed.
  • Assists with room preparation and restocking of supplies.
  • Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care.
  • Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current enrollment in an AMA or CMA accredited program in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $29.70 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.

Schedule

The schedule for this position would be based on the student's current school schedule of classroom time and clinical rotations. Positions are PRN (per request).
